Pasi Paiyar Sambar ( Green Gram Dal Sambar)

Ingredients
  • Cooked Green Gram - 1 Cup (Recipe Green Gram Curry ( Porichu Kotti Kuzhambu )
  • Onion - 1/2 fine chopped
  • Tomato - 1/2 fine chopped
  • Curry Leaf - 2 string
  • Cilantro - few for granish
  • Sambar Powder - 2 tsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Fry And Fine Powder
  • Urad Dal - 2 tsp
  • Chana Dal - 1 tsp
  • Cumin - 1 tsp
  • Coriander ( Dhaniya) - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida - 1/8 tsp
  • Coconut - 1/4 cup shredded
Method
  • In a kadai add little oil, once oil heats up add Items in fry and fine powder and fry it until golden brown expect coconut slight saute it.
  • Let it cool down completely and make fine powder.
  • In a same kadai add oil, once oil heats up add mustard wait until splatter.
  • Now add onion, curry leaves and saute until translucent.
  • Now add tomato, prepared powder, sambar powder, salt and saute well, now add 1/2 cup of water and let it come to boil.
  • Now add dal cover and let it boil for 10 min, now add cilantro and switch off the flame.
  • Serve hot with Dosa, Idli, Rava Dosa.
