Idli Biryani

Ingredients:
  • Idli - 8 (shred)
  • Medium size onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Tomato - 2 finely chopped
  • Green chili - 2 split open
  • Dry Mint - 1 tsp
  • Coriander - 2 tbsp + for garnish
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Biryani masala - 1 tsp ( Recipe is in Tamil Nadu Style Chicken Dum Biryani)
  • Red chili powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
Method:
  • In a kadai add oil, when oil heats up add Biryani Masala and fry.
  • Then add onion, fry until translucent.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste, green chilies and fry until you get aroma from the paste.
  • Add tomatoes, chili powder, Coriander powder, turmeric and salt, fry until oil oozes out.
  • Add coriander, mint leaf and saute well.
  • Then add the shredded Idli, Ghee and mix it well.
  • And garnish with coriander, and serve hot.
