Chana Masala

Ingredients
- Chana - 1 cup
- Onion - 1 roughly chopped
- Tomato - 2
- Tomato Paste - 3 tbsp (If you don't have tomato paste add 2 more fresh tomatoes)
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Cashew and Almonds - each 3
- Cinnamon -2 small sticks
- Clove - 3
- Chili Powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Kasthuri Methi - 2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh Cream - 1 tbsp(optional)
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Wash and soak the chana overnight, and pressure cooked chana with some salt for 3 whistle.
- In a pan add the 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter, once oil heats up add onion and cashew, almonds saute until translucent.
- Now add tomatoes, chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric, garam masala saute well.
- Now add tomato paste saute until tomato is smashed. Turn off the flame and let it cool completely.
- In a mixy add the sauteed mixture and grind into fine paste.
- In the same pan add remaining oil and butter, now add cinnamon, clove, ginger garlic paste and saute until you get nice aroma from the paste.
- Now add the grind paste, salt and cover cook for 5 min.
- Now add the cooked chana with chana water( it gives more flavor to the dish) and cover cook for another 10 min. So all the flavor get into chana.
- Switch off the flame add kasthuri methi and mix it well. Now add fresh cream and mix it well.
- Serve hot with chapati or roti or phulka and Rice.

- Now add fresh cream and mix it well.

- Serve hot with chapati or roti or phulka and Rice.
