Peas Pulao

Ingredients:
  • Basmati Rice - 1 Cup
  • Medium Size Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Cinnamon - 1 Small Stick
  • Cloves - 2
  • Cumin - 1 tsp
  • Briyani Leaf - 2 leaf
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
  • Green Chili - 4 (chop length wise)
  • Mint - fresh - 1/4 cup chopped (or)dry - 1 tsp
  • Peas - 1/2 Cup
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1 Cup
  • Cashews - 5 -6 broken
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Ghee - 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
Method:
  • In pressure cooker add oil and ghee, when oil heats add cloves, cardamon powder, cinnamon, cumin, briyani leaf, cashews and fry until golden brown.
  • Add onion and saute until translucent, now add green chili, ginger garlic paste and saute until you get nice aroma from the paste.
  • Now add peas, salt and saute well, now add water, milk, mint and when it boils add Basmati rice.
  • Cover the lid and cook for 2 whistle.
  • Serve hot with any type of gravy or Raita.

  • Cover the lid and cook for 2 whistle.
  • Serve hot with any type of gravy or Raita.
